Country Roads Rv Village — Yuma, AZ
We stayed at Country Roads RV Village in Yuma in January 2024, and it was the first truly massive RV community Lisa and I had ever stayed in. With roughly 1,300 privately owned lots spread across about 140 acres, it felt less like an RV park and more like a small town built for RVers and winter residents. Some people stay seasonally, while others make Country Roads their year-round home.
The amenities seemed almost endless — multiple heated pools and hot tubs, pickleball, shuffleboard, activity rooms, organized events and, as we remember it, even a small bowling alley. It was the first place we stayed where we really understood just how elaborate some of the large 55+ RV communities in the Southwest can be. The published amenities still include five heated pools, four hot tubs and a long list of recreation facilities.
The location also puts you surprisingly close to Mexico. From Country Roads to the border at San Luis is only about 20 miles as the crow flies, so the international border feels very much like part of the Yuma area rather than someplace far away.
We really enjoyed our stay. Lisa thought Yuma was windier than she would have preferred that January, but apparently not enough to spoil the experience — she has already said she’d like to go back.
