Air Capital RV Park — Wichita, KS
Air Capital RV Park in Wichita has become one of those dependable stops that fits the way we travel. When we’re heading south on US-81, it is often where we stop for the first night, and we’ve also used it on the way back north.
Most of the time we don’t even bother unhooking Vern. We get settled, walk a couple of blocks across the road to Hog Wild Pit Bar-B-Q, bring dinner back to Harriet, watch a little TV, get some sleep, and pull out again the next morning.
It isn’t a destination campground for us so much as a place that simply works — easy to get into, convenient for our route, and familiar enough that we know what to expect. Sometimes that is exactly what we want from an overnight stop.
